Friday Feature – Jared Davis

Jared Davis is this week’s Friday Feature. He is a local Richmond, VA real estate agent that you should consider for your next purchase! Jared and my husband became friends through a common interest; their Subaru WRX STI’s and affinity for AutoX. Friday Feature Jared PortraitWhy did you become a real estate agent?

I have been in sales for about eight years now, and I love helping people. I really love the negotiation process. I get excited when my clients close on a good deal. I have a strong sales/marketing background and enjoy utilizing it daily.

What types of specific marketing systems and approaches will you use to sell my home? 

For the last eight years, I have helped people market and advertise their businesses. It is my sole responsibility to bring people new clients. I am associated with Advertising Concepts Inc. here in Richmond. We are a publishing conglomerate that owns three high end lifestyle magazines: Chesterfield Living, West End’s Best, and Hanover Lifestyle. These directly target the high affluent homeowners in the Richmond area, as well as waiting rooms, hospitals, and racks in the area.

We also own two direct mail pieces, the Powhatan Shopper and Goochland Shopper, the only two publications that mail all of the homes in Powhatan and Goochland. Between these five publications we print over 100,000 publications every two months. I use these as an avenue to advertise not only myself as an REALTOR®, but the listings of my sellers as well. It is a powerful marketing technique that gets a message out to a much broader audience than most others are able to.

Can you recommend service providers who can help me obtain a mortgage, make home repairs, and help with other things I need done?

Of course! Being that I have hundreds of clients from over the years in all industries I have someone for almost everything who I know is trustworthy. Whether you need a great cleaning service to help with move in or move out cleaning, someone to look over a home’s electrical or  heating and cooling system, a company to help you renovate a home you’ve been wanting to flip, a great appraiser or termite inspector, or someone to help with your landscaping I can help. No matter what your needs are, it’s my job to put you into contact with everyone you need throughout your home buying or selling experience.

What type of support and supervision does your brokerage office provide to you? 

We have great in-office help to help make sure everything is running smoothly all the way up until closing. We also have training classes on an almost weekly basis to keep us in the know of changing policies and laws, as well as teaching new marketing techniques to help get your listings seen. My website www.centralvarealty.com has been an amazing tool to use for home buyers and RE/MAX Action has been doing everything they can to make the website streamlined and easy to use for visitors.

What’s your business philosophy? 

I would say my philosophy is just making sure that at the end of the day the client is satisfied. Good customer service is key, and it’s something that’s very hard to find anymore. Whether you are buying or selling a home, I want it to be as easy and painless as possible. It’s a big life decision. It can be stressful. It’s something that can be a total nightmare for people. I don’t want that to be the case with anyone working with me. When it’s all said and done, I want people to look back and say “Wow, that was pretty painless. I’d love to work with him again someday.”

Tell me something interesting about you:

My three favorite things are riding motorcycles, autocross, and snowboarding. I absolutely love anywhere with mountains.
